How do you get links to internal pages from main page listing?

I am seeing linking to multiple pages when you type in some domains

I am seeing major players online either getting hand-edited links or is there some type of submission process to get these extra links in the serps? Or could it be google sitemaps?

Here is one example:
[google.com...]

notice when you search for "WebmasterWorld" it brings up the following links to other pages:
Google News (forum) - recent posts (forum)
Google AdSense (forum) - Google Sitemaps (forum)

Anyone have any clue how to do this for our own smaller business sites?

I see some changes from what you see -- enough to make me think it may be automated. In particular , we just changed the name of this forum slightly, from "Google News" to "Google Search News" and now I see "Search News" as a link.

Is webmasterworld using google sitemaps? I wonder how google is deciding which internal links to highlight?

This is a major thing going on in Google and if there is a way to pay for this type of marketing or if its just as simple as using Feeds or sitemaps we should dig into what this could be. I am surprised everyone is not talking about this!

I got four extra links under my main listing yesterday (only for my site name search).

I have used sitemaps since June so I think it has to do with that.

The titles appear human edited to me. They do not correcpond to my page titles or sitemap.

I would like to be able to change them though.

Another example of Google pushing on without explanation!
