Deleted obsolete index.htm -Site disappeared

Hi... recently we deleted some obsolete urls from Googles listings using the Google tool and changing robot.txt for www.digihire.com.au ... now PR shows n/a (was 4) and site seems to be no longer indexed.

One of the pages deleted was an "index.htm" file. It was there because when we moved servers a couple of years ago, the default had to be changed to "index.html", and some other Search Engines were still requesting the now defunct "index.htm".

I used the internal message form to contact Google last week... and am a bit worried they havent received it since I did not get an auto response like most people seem to get. Can anyone suggest what we should do next; Would using the Google SiteMap tool help; or maybe we should email direct rather than using the Google support form... somewhere I read that a good address is [e-mail]. Does anyone have any experience with the best way of contacting Google, or what we should do in this situation... after years in the top 5, out client's video camera hire business is suffering

I'm thinking of buying some ad words just to get the digihire visible.. would that help
