I submitted a sitemap to google 5 days ago for a solid medium sized site, good in the serps for a couple of years, no dodgy practices, respectable inbound links. sitemap is error free.
5 days later the index page is not in the serps.
Maybe its not connected but nothing else appears to have changed.
