I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before. A few weeks ago we lost about 80% of our Google traffic after a year of steady positioning, and very slight site content changes to keep pages fresh and up to date on accuracy, nothing
drastic. Recently we found a site that is using our url as a file name extention off their root URL.
IE: [their-site.com...]
Google is showing their site chache which shows a redirect message that our site has moved to their domain. Google also has our site cache, but
won't deep crawl my site and lost about 500 pages from the index. Of course we are no where to be found in the results now, after holding a top 10 spot for over a year. Our site map has also not been hit for 8 weeks, and this person is using another file name for our site map page.
IE: [their-site.com...]
The other site is a crappy directory of searchable junk. If they didn't use our exact url in their url this wouldn't be an issue, but they are.
What can I do about this? Any suggestions?
Thanks for any help!
