Will Google take redirections?

DNS Redirects...

Just a quick question.

Suppose if I register a domain like: [mycompany.com...] and use FREE DNS HOSTING services as in <snip> and redirect the domain to point to a free webhost, say for example, <some free domain host> , will Google index my site?

Cause I remember reading somewhere that it gives low ranking for redirects. How true is this?

Thanks in advance!
Stan.

A DNS change is not a redirect. So if there is a penalty for redirects, it won't affect you. However, I'd be suprised if Tripod will let you set up a site using your own DNS server.

No, i mean, if I use something like <a free DNS service> something like the webforward or something to point it to my existing webspace, what will happen?

Thanks.
