Here today gone tomorrow?

Was no where, then somewhere, now no where

All the pages of my website have been indexed for about nine months, but no where to be found on Google SERPs (unless I searched for my website page). Have a PR5.

I figured I was in the sandbox. Yesterday morning, I suddenly appeared on the first page of Google for at least four of my main keywords and within the first 15 pages for many more! Later that day, I was gone again!

I was unaware of the datacenters until reading this forum, so I checked several of them tonight, and I'm still ranking well on about half, and not at all on the others.

So....does any of this mean I might actually be moving into a decent spot on the SERPs or not? Or am I going to fade away again? I just can't figure why I would hit page one, and then disappear a few hours later.
