Redirect 301 put me back into sandbox?

Can anyone conferm that this is what happens?
If i have a site then setup a 301 redirect that it will be put into the sandbox again?

Another victim for 301 club. Look around here and you find many horror stories about 301 redirects and not to many happy endings. My persoanl experience is that I have been tossed back into the sandbox but I don't have any solid evidence to back that up. I like many others am waiting to see if I reappear in the SERPs after a text book 301 redirect. Sorry I haven't answered your question but if you haven't done the 301 yet do a bunch reading before you do because 301's are risky to say the least.

Did not GG say choose between www and non-www...how do you do that without 301 redirect? Seems like hundreds of sites would have dropped right after he said that...

I'm referring to a whole domain redirect, not sure if ezyid is talking about a www vs non-www or a whole domain redirect.

301, is a sandboxer.

i'm never using it again, do a meta refresh FIRST, get the new site in the index replacing the old, THEN 301.

One way could be to decide on-site, and never use relative links. So OK, some other sites will link into "the wrong" variety, but the next click will be on track...

We've had no good results so far after a major 301 redirection to consolidate domains, though troubles are also related to what seems to be a "duplicate content" filter across our entire site.
