Wasn;t sure which forum this belonged in, but since netscape search results say "enhanced by Google". I assume they are pulling their results from Google's index correct?
If so, a rather old site of mine (launched 1999) which has hovered at or near the top 5 of all relevant serps for about 3 years or so, dropped a few pages on July 16th. I'm not really concerned about that, as when it has happened in the past (a few times) it always returns in 6-8 weeks or so.
However, in examining my logs today, I noticed quite a few referrals from netscape search. Further investigation revealed I'm, back (or am still) in the top 5 there, mostly #1's in fact. What's strange is, the site title/description looks as if they were pulled from a DMOZ listing or something....but the site is not listed in DMOZ (never has been, as far as I know).
So.....the ultimate question is:
Why am I #1 in Netscape, but not Google. Further, why/where is netscape pulling it's strange title/description from?
