Domains interlinking but not reciprocal

I own several domains, all have similar subject matter, but unique content. I'd like to interlink them, but not using exactly reciprocal links. Let's call my sites A, B, C, & D. Domain A has sub-pages A/page1, A/page2, etc. The sub-pages get a PR of 3 or 4 on their own.

I would link A/page1 to B/page5; then A/page2 to C/page3, and so on. Domain C/page6 might then link back to A/page4.

It's almost like my own web ring.

With these PR3 or 4 sub-pages providing a one way link help my rankings? How is it different from having some other site link back to me? Google doesn't know I own all these domains....
