Search engines, domain names and IPs

country specific site hosted in another country

I wanna build a country specific site (say, Poland, mysite.pl) but I'd like it to be hosted in the US, so the IP will be flagged as being in the US.

Are there any issues with this regarding being found in the search engines for the specific country?
