Google showing title and description, but url search yields nada

A site I am monitoring just disappeared from the google index. I did a search on the url, main text in url, www. etc. (it was gone). However I did notice an old flash page showed up that is using the url too.

I know if the flash page is in that the site was NOT banned, so I resubmitted it.

Today I did a search using url text (ie. funwidgetwork)and the site showed up in the index with the Title and Description like normal. When I search for the www version or the .com w/o www the
"Sorry, no information is available for the URL www.funwidgetwork.com" appears instead of the title and description. Same is true if I leave out the www.

Any thoughts or speculation?

You have other TLDs for this domain? Do they 302 to the .com site?

Everything 302's to the "http://www." url. However Google indexed the url w/o www.

When I search no www. (example = domain.com) is still says "Sorry, no information is available for the URL domain.com"

I can see it in the index, but cannot find it when I url search google.

While I don't think this is your specific problem I do think you should change the 302 to a 301 ASAP.

It is a software program that I use for all my sites, the program automatically redirects all urls to the www. version of the domain name. It has worked fine on my other sites for years now!

if I search "domain.com" with the quotes in the search field it yields a few link results, the domain w/o the www. shows in the results.

I think i may agree with others to change to 301's G may have applied some new filters to help with page jacks through use of 302's and your innocent site may have been caught in new filter ,

just an idea no proof etc. but worth thinking about

changed to 301* (only that site) we will see I guess - could this possibly be due to the fact that the site is just showing up in G index. Maybe it has not completely been indexed yet. Do you think?

Just noticed today that now the site shows up with NO www. and there is also one WITH a www. when I repeat the search with omitted results included.

Now when i query for the domainname.com or www.domainname.com the google result is the www. version with the title and description.

Google is still doing some funny things right now. I am noticing changes in the SERPS and with my links for a lot of sites I manage. I have another site that shows only 10 results for domainname in the search (no option to repeat w/ omitted results included), but when I search "link;www.domainname.com" or domain(space) name spaced out there are over 200 results (my links).

The funny thing is as soon as I posted this there were changes to the site in question on Google...wierd! That has happened to me before here.
