I've made my google site map, now, do i upload the file(like i would a PDF) or do i put it into the html of my page? please help :?

Did you read the info at Google? [google.com...] . It's all there. ;)

You should upload the sitemap file (xml or txt) in the highest level directory of your site where you have the home page uploaded.
Some hosts have www or httpdocs directories on the highest level directories that you get when you FTP. You should upload your sitemap in these directories as you would for your home page.
