Hello,

First excuse my english,as I'm francophone first.

We are building a site and we have managed to get a pretty good amount of pages with original content.

The thing is as we proceed with the creation of the site, we realize all the pages seem to have a similar structure.

Example :

Header
Small Intro phrase
Intro text (around 200 words)
Main text(x words )
Closing text

All the pages are built on this model and all the zones seem to also have relatively same figures in term of keywords.

But all the text is unique each page and each zone. It just seeems to have some word count and sometimes semantic similarities, especially the intro part of each page.

Do you think that google could notice that the intro is alwpays at the same place and has between 100 and 150 words on each page. Would that penalize a site?

Could they consider this un-natural if the same pattern comes page after page, even if all the content is always unique?

Thanks for the answers!

Clint

Hello. No one knows what G likes anymore, not even G themselves. It's impossible to know or even predict how they will see your site. As of right now, they don't care much about good content OR relevancy. There appears to be no problems with what you mentioned, (certainly not with other SE's), but know that G also penalizes for no reason, so your site could get penalized for something for which it has no reason to get penalized.

If the domain is new, or has never been in G before, it could take a year for it to even show up in the G index in a search for its own name!

I know this doesn't help you any, but these are things of which you need to be aware when trying to get in the G index. It should be no problem with Yahoo or MSN, or the other SE's, but it's totally a guessing game and good luck or bad luck with G.

(Since this forum will not send out email notifications, I won't know if you reply to this).

absolutely not, every big website is built from templates which causes lots of pages to have the same structure, it is ok, google will notice but not penalise for this.

Thanks for the answer topr8,
I was thinking like you that it would not penalyse the site because all the sites run more on less on templates for the structure. But what about texts themselves, especially the intro text and the conclusions.

There all all unique in the wording, but semantically they all say the same thing and have similar kind of sentence order and structure.

Could google even 1) notice that and 2) consider it as somekind about duplical content?

Thanks,

Clint, personnaly I know now why my site failed in bourbon so i'mjust trying to work it out by building new content. I understand that we can't understand google as easily as other search engines, but still I think there are several patterns that we can still analyse and discuss.
