Since moving over to a new website a month ago, I've noticed that Google mostly seems to be picking up my new links properly. In my hit counter stats, I only see a few links from my old site (which forward to my new site, but I still haven't gotten mod_rewrite working for permalink redirection working properly). Anyone who follows an old link reaches my new site but not the specific link they've requested. But I do see that the image bot picks up my old link for one particular blog post. Of course, I'm not sure whether the hits for this link are bots themselves or real people.
Can anyone think of why the bot wouldn't be picking up my new link for that post/image (I never see any hits for this post/image using the new link)? Will it ever? Is there anything I can do about this?
