I have started a property site, from the off I made sure that all search result pages and site maps were all spider friendly.
With in days of launching the site and linking to it from my blog I got a good spidering.
Within a few days I started getting a good number of refferes from google, I haven't been targeting specific search terms...other than putting any counties searched for in
tags near the top of the page saying results for
X
county..
Last friday (24th of June) I got 110 refferes from google, 110 different key words also.
On Sat it dropped to 10, Sunday 6..Monday 5...yesterday 7.
I still have the same number of pages in the google database..using allinurl:mysite.com
9,350 to be exact.
I started using google sitemaps on the 7th of Jun.
What I have noticed is that if I click show ommited pages and say select page 6 or 7..I get a list of urls with no title or description information...the links are still valid. The first 50 or so pages are listed normally though.
The first hit on robots.txt was on the 20th of May around 5am (GMT)
The first "good spidering" was later on the same day and started about lunch time and stopped 6 hours later.
I don't really understand what the "sandbox" is that I have read about..or how I know I am in it!
Also would it be this burbon update, but again I am not sure if this would be the same thing as it was working ok on Friday!
I only have one inbound link from my blog, I have not done any advertisment or "spreading" the word of it yet as its only been live less than a month.
Is their anything that would explain such a sudden drop off? Is there anything I can do to help get back up the listings.
Thing is that I don't want to be found, well I am realistic enough to no even hope, using generic keywords like property, search etc...what I was doing well out of was county searches and address searches.
Help..
Spica is right about the everflux. You need more links and you also need more time before your site returns to for its serp. As for the missing title and description, your site doesn't have enough PR and links which act as incentive for Googlebot to crawl and "COMPLETELY" index those pages.
