This may just be my small world interpretation of current events, however I'd like to share an amazing recent ranking change since April 21st.
(some background)
Site is over 16 years old, runs AdSense, table-based "aged" site that dominated a sector for many years. After the Panda update the site dropped quite a bit (from #1 to the middle of the second page, earnings and traffic dropped as well) at this point, I figured that things have changed and it's just something I have to work with now. No site changes have been done since Panda...
(April 21st, 2015)
Site rose right back to the #1 spot, for more queries than I was taking before, and the phone started ringing off the hook! Multiple emails requesting service started pouring in since Tuesday morning... (I'm like WOW! at this point)
My real question is:
Do you think G watches for sites making changes, the type of changes, and how often? Would they possibly be using that info to decide if you're SEO'ing or doing it for the user? I just can't account for the amazing return of the site from nowhere... I thought perhaps it was temporary during the update and would fall again, however I see some shuffling of other sites in my area and I'm holding firm for the moment..
Again, I've done LITERALLY NOTHING since Panda, so I can totally rule out any site changes that might have caused this new ranking...
anybody else see this happen? Any idea why this might have happened?
thanks for your time!
