2 Diffrent PR for Same Page

www and non-www

Hello There,

At my site when I type http://www.example.com, it shows google PR is 1

But as I visit same url with http://example.com it shows PR2

Can any one suggest any solution for this?
Is this affect my ranking in google?
Is this mean actual PR for same Page is 3 but divided in 1+2?

Please help me.

Its not a dumb question, but you need to do some more reading here on these forums.

You definitely need to redirect the no-www URL to the with-www one
( or vice-versa, but be consistent! I prefer www.)
This is a "301 redirect" best done in your .htaccess file.
Google for webmasterworld + 301 + redirect + www . -Larry

Google works on pages, not domains. The two URL's you mention are two seperate pages.

This question is asked every day (indeed I have just answered the exact same question in another thread in this forum), and the correct thing to do is to use a 301 redirect. Instuctions for both Apache and Windows servers are readily available.
