we are facing a problem in Pakistan from last 3 days google does not redirect from google.com to google.com.pk which has lost big local traffic of pakistani websites even there are many pakistani people have to search local country results in global search. I want to ask why this happened with google search.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld mudaber
from last 3 days google does not redirect from google.com to google.com.pk
Why would it redirect from .com to .com.pk?
Do you mean you cannot access google.com?

What happens if you visit google.com.pk? If that takes you where you expected to end up, maybe it is time to promote that link to visitors? It could be that they decided people should have a choice and go where they want? I have had it the other way around frequently and it is most annoying.

So google.com is not automatically redirecting to google.com.pk?
Why is that a problem? I hate it when google.com redirects me to google.co.uk, then I have to go to google.com/ncr

do you mean it is not an issue. Think when a website has good rank in a local domain then I think a webmaster should advertise on tv that people should manually open google.com.pk where his website has good rank. Anyways there was a problem in google server and google team is trying to resolve the issue. Thanks for response

Why is that a problem?
@RedBar well, it is a massive problem. Try searching for a 'florist' or any other local ecommerce term in Google.com and then Google.co.uk. If you're based in the UK, the Google.com results are totally useless.
@mudaber, I feel sorry for you, I know it must be frustrating but there's not much you can do. I checked the link to product forums you provided but it doesn't redirect properly. I'd suggest you post another request on Google products forum, specifically Websearch -> Report an Issue
Most of the forum sections are frequented by Google employees and you might actually get lucky and get noticed. Keep trying.

I can assure you that in my widget sector both .com and .co.uk are totally useless for anyone in the UK, I've been complaining about this for more than a year now, probably two years, I've lost track of how many times I've complained directly to Google that US sites totally dominate my .co.uk SERPs.
