I have over 4000 indexed pages in google, with many of them being the php pages of my messageboard.

When you go site:domain.name it lists them all. However for the indexed php pages there is no description or any indication of the content.

Is there a way to automatically get the content, or at least the first few lins of a post as a description.?

At present it looks like this...

xmb.example.com/xmb/viewthread.php?goto=lastp...

etc, which links to a thread but no indication here which.

It seems a waste of links if they are not being indexed correctly in google.

If what you're saying is that in the G results all you see is a hyperlinked URL and no title or description text, or other text below the URL, this has been going on for a while now a G. From what I've heard, it has to do with them not crawling enough, and needing to update the crawls on your site.
