We are really hurting, mentally anf financially.
There are more than 500 other sites that contain the title, the keywords, the description, and the content of that particular URL, most of them directories or scraper sites, some of them with links to the site in question, some others only with the writing of all the content and NO link, and all of them have gooooooooogleads at the top.(We don't)
Since the lats update all our 6 sites are 95% down in searches, and it is very upsetting to see other sites with all our content in the position that we were before the update, and obviously getting the results from searches like we were.
So does anyone knows what's going on? how many more sites have vanished, how many more directories are on the top 10 searches (all with goooooogleads of course) for any keyword that you type.
We all need help, someone please HELP!
However, here is just one suggestion. Are the URLs that link your site pages all absolute? I read that it helps against the scrapper sites. At least my site seems even increased its position in the last update though previously I indeed saw first directories and scrapper site even when searched for my unique keywords.

we would be glad to help, but you need to give us more info. put the url of the site that vanished in your profile so we can take a look at it. also are the several sites you have crosslinked and/or on the same server/host? It could be that it is a victim of a 302 hijack, tripped the duplicate content filter, any other of a multitude of fickle google tendencies.
So, few of us (maybe only the moderators?) will see what you've added.
That's because site reviews are not part of WMW's brief. Better to discuss and solve the general problem, and then apply it to specific cases.
We got a similar situation at the mo. Index MIA and important pages dropping out of the index. Do nothing for a bit and see what happens. Buy adwords get links from other sites. You will get a stronger business model from it. Hope on natural serps is not a good business plan even though 90% of us are all guilty of that.
Maybe that is the cause of all the problems, me and my wife learned to do HTML in January 2000 as a prescription for deep depression, and it worked!, we tought ourselfs. So I will do everything in my power and limited HTML knowledge, to make it work again, but this time with the knowleged of all the good pointers at webmasterworld, this site is great.
Thank you again.

In my case my site experienced a 302 hijacking. Almost anyone who has a site that has some good rankings is vunerable to this. In my case it was a directory site that had done a redirect to my site in a maner that Google read as a duplicate page. Google decided that my site was the duplicate and I can only find pages in it by searching the exact titles in quotes. Even then other sites that just mentioned my site came out ahead. Apparently I have been penalized because Google thinks I have duplicated someone elses site.
Anyway info in the bourbon 4 messages might help. Googleguy gave info on how to prevent this problem there but in my case the horse is already out of the barn so I am now trying to get the problem link to me removed. I may be one of the lucky ones. They seem to be willing to remove it.
If you need info on how to find out if this is your problem sticky me for a link to a helpful website.
(Don't let people convince you it's because you did something wrong, this is happening to many good quality sites)
This advice looks trivial but this second reading helped me a lot when last year my site lost all the page rank and I could not figure out why.
Google means every single word in their recommendations. I was wondered how much I missed in my first casual reading.
And of course, as it was mentioned already read Gougle_guy thread in this group.

if you're sure that everything is OK (when a Google engineer checks it), you should ask for re-inclusion or just wait a week or two. It just might've fallen through the craks and it could be right back, either by itself or by manual intervention.
It looks like probably it is a 302 hijack (I am learning about all that since last night)
He has a number of 302's with his pages content in the cached "fake pages" of other sites due to mis attribution of copyrighted materials.
The site was also traslated into German by a site that is based in the COCHIN, KERALA INDIA to be specific, this same site also has a number of cache pages that now point to error pages, in addition at least part of the site was mirrored by another site.
To really seal its fate it looks like Google thinks he no longer has any inbound links, all of the ones I could find were from redirect scripts.
But I am having extreme difficulty believing some of the search results I'm seeing in general.
Google cache pages in allinurl searches for example.
It appears his problems started with Allegra and have gone downhill since. The affected site was started in 2000.
Mods hopefully that is not specicfic enough to be sniped but if it is please feel free. Don't want to violate the TOS. Grumble, grumble (Bears grumble you know).
With that I invoke rule 4 and maintain the rule 5 is in full operation.
When you do a search for your site name and Google cant find anything do you get the line:-
If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: yourdomain.com
If so it is generally my experience that Google does not know your site exists (rather than a ban)
On the positive side I have seen a site go this way recently and then returned on some dcs and then all dcs.
I would imagine thebear has given you some advice on protecting your site with 301s etc. If not pay close attention to post number 7 of GG posts:-
[webmasterworld.com...]
and in the apache forum here there are lots of examples of how to do a 301.
Find web pages from the site www.blahblahblah.com
Find web pages that contain the term "www.blahblahblah.com"
and that's it, Shan my wife (she's encharged of the URL in question), uploaded a htaccess for a 301 redirect (I thought that they were 2 different things), just 2 days ago, so all traffic will go to [domain.com...] instead of going to [domain.com....]
TheBear has been great, it has spend alot of time with the site, and finding funny redirects, or funny sites pointing to the URL that is missing.
I hope that you are right when you say that the site might return, that would be very nice.
Thank you Dayo_UK for your concern, I appreciat it

PS: If I make gramatical mistakes please forgiv me, I am spanish born, living in Australia, and sometimes I still do some big mistakes, like putting things back to front in english.
The Bourbon update is still moving so keep an eye out for changes.
"I cleared up this problem by submitting a Google SiteMap. Everything got reindexed within 24-72 hours."
"Are you saying this cleared up 302 hijack problems?"
I suspect I had/have a couple of 302 hijacks/scraper problems, although I cannot imagine why, with PR0 on all my pages. I can't find those hijacks now in the serps, but I only ever saw them occassionally show up there.
Nope. What I meant was I cleared up my site being awol in the google index, which is the title of this thread.
Please go to this Google url, and run command:
site:www.yoursite.com
and tell us whether you see better results for your site.
[64.233.167.104...]
Try that DC - any luck?
Any news from Google regarding re-inclusion?
Sorry, no information is available for the URL www.domain.com
And No answer from Google, they have not even acknowled the email or the form, I told them about the 302 hijacking as well, I'll try again.
In the mean time I have uploaded into my root directory a sitemap.xml just in case it helps.
