No Date Showing Up in SERPs

does the date matter in the serps when google updates? I see dates like june 7th but nothing for ours on page one. Does that have any significance?

It is the date Google has cached your page. If you don't have many links to your site or your content does not change much, then Google won't crawl and cache your pages so often.

And it only shows a date if the page has been cached within the last couple days or so (i think). So, if you don't have a date, it probably means they haven't cached the page in a while.
