Why the big difference in serps from .com to .co.id

or any other result outside .com

I have seen difference in page count / serps, like page under .co.id rank on page 1 and then page 5-6 on .com

A few month ago it was the same rankings on all versions of google, I know they have ALOT of problems with there serps right now, but still is there any logic to this.

I still dont get it why a site that has its server in the USA, .com name rankes better on all foreign google versions, then on google.com and we are talking up to 5-6 pages difference.

So how can you know what to optimize for.

If your server is in the UK then .com or .co.uk

If your server is in the USA you MUST have a .co.uk
