One site or many sites? One blog or many blogs?

I spent the memorial Day weekend adding content to sub pages on mymainsite.com and add variations of myblogA and myblogB to my leading myblog.com.

Am I an idiot? (don't answer that). Should I just concentrate on building traffic for one blog and one site.

Web success gurus suggest targeting 100 keywords and building 100 sites to conquer them.

On the other hand, should I just choose, say, 20 keywords, and focus on building up 2 or 3 sites only?

fyi, These are all industry sites with some lots of sponsors all int he same industry, if that makes a difference in your analysis.
