I put in a 301 for my homepage (months ago)
www.mysite.com -> www.mysite.com/us/

site is being spidered and completey indexed every day.

By accident I saw a SERP showing both pages:
- home page without cache link,
- target (redirected) page with cache link.

Funny: title-tag of www.mysite.com is the anchor-text of my DMOZ-Link and description is that of DMOZ.

Does anybody know that behaviour - anything that I probably got wrong?

talking to myself ... anyway, the answer is:

I took out the redirect to the subdir, and to avoid 404's in the subdir redirecting everything from there back to the root.

Bingo! 2 Days later only the real homepage shows.
