Different Results Returned from Different Locations with Google

I have been optimizing a site of mine to get to top spot on google for a pharse. I have been suscessful in getting top spot for this pharse when I type it into google from home but the funny thing is when im at work the same pharse does not have me on top but third? why is this?

Its most probable that the IP blocks of the two locations are 'located' in different countries.
This is unrelated to where you are physically located.
Or, less likely, you are hitting different data centers from the two locations.
