Hi guys, im relatively new to all of this so please bear with me.

I have built a website 30pages, css and html and have followed Bretts 26 steps [searchengineworld.com] where possible. THe site has been up for about 2 years now, constantly changing.

PROBLEMS

1) If i search for my site in google i ONLY get the domain name appearing i get NO decription of the site eventhough i have meta tags.

2)can anybody sggest any good tools that i can use to monitor my site?

3) i dont really understand spiders / robots etc.. can somebody pleaes explain in simple terms and what tools can i use to work with them

4) Are they any other tips that can be offered to check the health of my website and what results i should expect to see from the tools people offer.
