Will New PageRank Affect Traffic?

I had three sites go from a 0 to a 5, one from 4 to 5 and another from a 5 to a 6.

But I'm unclear on the expected effect -- if any -- from this.

Will going up in rank increase the traffic I get? Or is the increase in pagerank simply a mirror of the increased traffic I've been getting because of new links (and thus, I've already seen the increase)?

TIA!

I believe the general consensus would be that you have already seen the increase in traffic.

The PR that you see on your toolbar is not necessarily the same as the PR that is used in Googles search results, and if it is, it is most likely old PR, not current.

Another way of looking at it IMHO is that the higher page rank will move you up the serps, thus as a general rule will push/generate higher traffic.

Personally, I think PR only gives you bragging rights.

I have noticed that I am seeing much different SERP's when I visit google.co.uk but the USA IP's are pretty much the same. In the past, the co.uk SERP's were dead on with the USA's IP's or very close to them.

I am wondering if the co.uk SERP's are going to move to the USA over the weekend.
