LOL - good one! Had been wondering why it was Van Gogh day on G!
Which one of you owns the #1 result for Vincent Van Gogh? The site apparently couldn't handle the extra traffic of people clicking on the Google logo today.
Yes, such a shame because otherwise it's quite a good site. It has loads of JPEGs of Van Gogh's paintings.
Do google pre-warn these sites that they're going to be front-page listed?

Unlikely. Going by the current state of the algo the top 10 places could be taken by completely different sites by this evening :) And even Google probably doesn't know who they'll be ;)

Weird how google works and provide different results depending on location!
"vincent van gogh" is not a particulary competitive k/w either with just over one million results showing.
Just a joke offcourse, for all poor webmasters here: Van Gogh did not even sell 1 painting during his life. Maybe your website is also famous when you are dead ;)
