Google shows not all results

It seems that Google doesn't show all possible result when you search the internet.
Go to the German Google [google.de] Type nein

[google.de...]

Results: 5.250.000

Now click on "German results only

[google.de...]

Results: 5.950.000

Now that's odd. A worldwide search on a German word gives 700.000 results less then a 'local' search.

The same happens with the Dutch Google. Compare this:

[google.nl...]

Is it a temporary glitch? I'm afraid not. If not corrected, it means that you'll have to visit a local Google every time when you search for foreign words. Hm.
