I checked results from 2 computer at my place from two different different connetions, DSL and Cable, and got different results from these two data centers. On 167.104 we doing well and on the other we are facing the same problem as others( site not be find any where).
Can you guys tell me if you also see these datacenters or different in your region.

And how true is it that depending on the load on the local area google changes the way it points it datacenter?

I see the same. Looks like their switching the IP's behind www.google.com every few hours.

I am seeing some very clean results on 64.233.161.104 right now. These are the results being served to me from google.com. In my situation:

Normal Google.com results using the site: command

875 results - 450 unique results

Right now I am seeing on 64.122.161.104

775 results - 750 unique results (the actual number of unique pages the site actually has...)

My site is coming up first for its site name on [64.233.167.104...] whereas am currently non existent on the main Google.

Well I am also seeing now results from 64.233.179.104. so does this means google will be showing results from different datacenters now.
Also I dont understand how google algo can be so different that on one server we rank in top 5 and in other we are not in top 1000.

I'm getting a bit confused about this, as I am never sure what figures people are quoting.

If I use the site: command I get an initial page with pages 1-100 of "about x". I then hit "repeat the search with the omitted results included" and sometimes get a different "about" total. I then page to the end of the results and sometimes get yet another "about" total. Typically there is a small difference between the actual number of pages displayed and the final "about" total.

Anybody know why this is so? And what the "about" figure really means?

Back on topic - I do see a slightly different result on 64.233.161.104 compared to google.com.

The algo is the same, but the data is different which yields different results

I must say, I like the look of the SERPS in 64.233.167.104 for a number of reasons.

Mainly, one of my sites which was mostly being regarded as duplicate content is no longer being seen as such.

This was frustrating because the sites had far from duplicate content, it's just that the layout code was the same on every page.

I tried to post earlier about the different SERPs on the 64.... IPs and the 213...
I have sites that should (IMHO) be top 10. They are in the 64 IPs but cannot be found at all in the 213 IPs.
Any idea what's going on. Are these pre-Allegra results, relaxed dup filter, 302 fixed or just Google messing with our minds.
For the record I think I found these IPs over a week ago by tyoing in .co.uk without the www

Yes they use load balancing. Every time you make a new DNS request you get the IP of a different datacentre. Different datacentres can sometimes produce different results.

66.102.11.104 - I dont realy understand this, the results does show up sometimes on google.com, but it has taken a few weeks now and there are still no clear sign of a update its as if they are making some real testing, NOT just a update where the results slowly spreads out to all the other DB.

We have seen less indexed page and less backlinks in the serps on 66.102.11.104
