Fastest way to get listed on google?

domain, content, site, etc ready...now I need google to spider me

Hey guys…
Ok, I have found a good topic for a site. I have registered the domain and am writing about 10 articles for the site to get a nice amount of content. I have a list of the common/standard tips & tricks and SEO stuff to do. Now, all I need to do is build the site. But if I build it, they won’t come! I have been hearing that it is close to impossible to get your site listed In Google where the ‘dance’ is lasting several months.

How do I get the site indexed? Would the normal manual Google submission work? Or do I need to buyer a text link somewhere to get the site listed?

And, what’s the fastest any of you have gotten a site spidered & indexed?

I think the months-to-get-listed thing is a myth.

With a blog I just started, got organic hits from google a couple of days after creating the page.

Best advice I can give is get a link from a relatively high-ranking page, I'm pretty sure that's what happened to me.

I got a link from a PR9 page and still went into the sandbox...

The sandbox is a funny thing really. It's name really should be changed to something that would make emotions more easily ascribable.

Picky is a bad word, but it's something. I was out of the sandbox in 4 months with one site. But some also happen quite instantly.

I'm launching a new one in the next few days, I'll let you know what happens.

A site i put up 4 days ago is getting some google traffic. This is after I linked to it from my one pr5 site and one pr4 site.

I'd say that you need to get at least a pr5 link to your site - pr4 links imhe dont do the trick.

I linked from a PR4 site to a new one of mine, it was indexed within days and went straight into #3 for the keyword I'm targeting.

The fastest way to get listed on Google is by putting Adsense on those pages you want crawled, and refreshing that page in your browser (once is enough). One site I put up appeared in Google within four hours, albeit not fully indexed.

Ok...great, so it appears that a link is really the key here. But even then its all about chance. So, is it possible to create mini-sites 1-4 per month and within a couple months have half a dozen indexed?

This is my one stumblin block...I hear people talking about pumping out mini-sites but I wonder how they get themselves listed.

Well, the site is ready and I'm currently building another. I'm taking the aproach of building a couple small sites to test out the "how to get indexed" waters before diving deep into one site.

I will keep you guys posted to see. I will try to keep it so that Site A get a link from a Pr5 site and Site B gets no links to see if that mkes a drastic change.

I am running 3 website now and tried link formula, How long i have to wait to see my site listed on google, it's 3 weeks already/

I read somewhere that some people able to get their blog listed on google withing 48 hours using XML feed ...

Does this sounds right?

Post a entry about your site in your blog and ping some xml-rpc services like weblogs or pingomatic will get your site indexed quickly. Send press release to prweb and other pr sites is also helpful.

PR4 - PageRank 4.
PR5 - PageRank 5

If you don't know Page Rank, try putting in some hours of study before making another post :)

Any page, Pagerank immaterial, that gets crawled regularly and whose cache is updated frequently is enough to get a site indexed. If for some reason your new site isn't getting indexed inspite, it may have been penalized before you bought it. Try the wayback machine to see its older avatars.

Google sucks, I have brand new website launched last month and i got it listed on yahoo, ranked 45 and 8 for hot keywords. I am unable to see anything for my site on Google!

It's a shame for Google if some one has to use tricks like xml-rpc/pinger to get site listed on GOOGLe.

again! GOOGLE sucks BIG TIME!

Google has been a real pain with some new sites that I am working on, but I have had no problems with Yahoo and MSN. One day the sites show up nicely in the G serps and the next they are gone. As I wait, I am building up IBL's, adding content and waiting for G to release the site - maybe one can get out early for good behavior!
