Google and Firefox

Spotted this unexpectedly in my logs

removed the q parameter as per TOS

Is Google delivering different results depending on the browser? It seems quite bizarre.

I haven't been paying attention lately either to my logs or to the Google Forum so apologies if this has been discussed already.

The user searched using the searchbar that comes standard with Firefox. This is nothing new.

This may not be new, but I still see no reason for it. If it is ignored, then why include the client parameter and if not ignored, what does Google do with it?

They use those particular GET paremeters for branding.
