I did a test for one of my domains today

example.com
www.example.com

returns no results however when you click on the second link

Find web pages that contain the term example.com

or if use a site:example.com or allinurl:example.com query I get results including those from the domain.

I have no experiences with a situation like that, but for me this sounds as if your domain may have been banned.

Not sure that that's it, I get half a dozen 5 and 6 word queries a day.

two questions come to mind - when you do the site:domain.com command do you get the same results as site:www.domain.com?
Also - do you get results from other sites other than the directories that are linking to you - such as cloaked or scraped pages?
