Page rank and length of time on internet

I'm wondering if anyone has done any research on the relationship of page rank vs. length of time a particular site has been on-line. Just curious.

I assume you mean Google (ie toolbar) PageRank.

No - there is no relationship. Google PageRank, as seen on the toolbar is simply a calculation of the value of all the links pointing to a page that Google has found.

I know of a site that has been online since 2000 and has only inbound link. It has shown PR 0 since Google introduced the toolbar.
