Google following the nofollow

I got google following tags with the rel="nofollow" attribute.

Anyone else seen this?

:) One of the many problems with

rel="nofollow"

is that it is a badly-named value. Google have never said that they would not follow a link marked with nofollow, just that they wouldn't give the linked page any benefit from that link.

If you want to exclude pages from the index, then you need to use a robots.txt file or a robots meta tag on the page(s) you don't want indexed.

rel="nofollow" is only suggestion by site owner to SEs to discount the link value for target page. What value (anchor text, PR, straight link-count) if any at all - is up to engines. They may reduce or triple the value of nofollow link vs simple link at will and depending on zillion of other factors.
