Google URL Submission Question

Does Google mind if I tell them about my new links?

I run a program on my logs, identifying referrers that have never appeared before. I get maybe 100 new ones per week. About half of these are junk—Wikipedia scrapers, pretend search engines and log-spammers. The rest are real.

Of the 50 new per week maybe 20 are not yet in Google's index. Some are brand new, others are just from obscure places on the web.

I figured, why not tell Google and get credit? So I've made a practice of submitting them all through Google's Add A URL feature.

I've never seen this practice mentioned, but it seems like an obvious thing to do. My question is: Is this okay? Is it going to set off any alarm bells at the Googleplex? Is it better to wait for Google to find them? Does anyone else do this?
