I want to check how many pages are in Google's index from a particular site. But I want to limit the search to a particular URL/filename. How do I do this with the site: and inurl: commands?

It's not working for me.

The pages I want to find all have this format :

defaultpageXXXX.aspx?pageID=XXX (XXX are numbers)

I've tried filtering for "defaultpage" but that didn't work.

Is there an easier way?

I think you are saying you want to check one specific page... just search the entire URL in G and if it comes up, your in.

No, I want to find out how many new pages have been indexed (we recently re-built a website, changing the URL format from plain vanilla HTML to Dot Net aspx). So I want to list all the new pages, but exclude the old ones (which are still in the index). That way I can get an idea how much of the new site has been indexed.
