Break out the champagne - I've just had an incorrect URL in DMOZ corrected, 4.25 years after I submitted the first change request.

Can anyone tell me whether I'll have to wait another 4.25 years for the Google Directory to reflect the change? What's the recent delay - I recall it used to be quite lengthy!

I'm interested in this too, and for pretty much the same reason. I realised that I had my site listed in DMOZ and therefor G directory without the www that I usually have.

A dumb mistake from when I got listed in DMOZ about 4 years ago.

Having no www seems to put me in the bottom of the pile when listed by page rank in the google directory.

I beleive it's updated every 3 months, but don't quote me on that. And the last time it was updated was early this month so you have some time to wait.

As for having no www.. that doesn't really matter. It is arranged by page rank or alphebetical order depending on the users setting.

[edit]alphebetical order meaning by title of page not by url[/edit]

The Google Directory used to be updated roughly every month. Then there were big gaps in 2003 and early 2004. Now the schedule seems to be back to monthly.

But page rank can be different for sites with and without www.

Also, I have the firefox tool bar pr extension, and for sites in the google directory, there are some multicolor circles above the green bar. The only sites in my category without the www are also missing the multicolor circles, so there is a weird connection.

Either way, without the www I'm ranked near the bottom when ordered by pr, when my pr is actually the same as the sites at the top.
