Unable to understand address melbourne. Please try another address.

Suggestions:
- Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
- Try using a less ambiguous location like a zip code.

I was trying to find pizza in Melbourne. It didn't even try Melbourne, FL.

But if you type in 'melbourne, FL' it returns results.

Seems it's only for the US and Canada for now, but that info is buried deep in the help section.

I wonder if they tested at all with auto-fill on the location based on ip
or if that turned out to be too creepy for privacy advocates ;)

Interesting in light of the recent news that Google is a domain registrar. Google Local could easily replace the telephone Yellow Pages if the interface develops well enough. How many corner drugstores and local pizza parlors don't have websites? Imagine if all those people look themselves up in Google Local, and find a convenient ad "Joes-Pizza-02167.com: Get it now!" Another nationwide stream of steady income. Many small things make a pile.
