Integrating Gmail into Google Toolbar

We all use it, why not?

I use Google's IE Toolbar extensivly to search and block ads. I would love to see Google integrate a simple button onto the Google Toolbar that would display the number of new messages in my Gmail Inbox. Clicking the button would then either launch the Gmail login screen, or if I could set my username and/or password in Toolbar "Settings", take me directly to my Gmail Inbox.

That would be good - other toolbars do it. Buttons for AdWords, AdSense etc would be nice too, given that Google can identify the PC anyway.

With all the logins for Google services being unified under "google accounts" this is exactly what will happen. Take a look at the bottom of this page:

So G is going to build a new passport service? Really interresting things happening. G is trying to knock down MSN and their services. I really wonder if MS can compete and roll out sth much better.

Oh man- looking forward to this. Gmail in the toolbar and a login/out in the toolbar would be great. Google will smash MSN etc.. to pieces.

I think it will happen. Yahoo has mail features on its toolbar.
