I'm used to a lot of Spam in my Gmail, but it usually ends up in the spam folder. For the past week, I'm inundated with junk in my inbox :(

I'd check the few days leading up to the deluge in spam to see if you had opened or clicked a link of a possible spam email. I ran into a situation where just opening a spam email triggered substantial spam over then next few days.
I have also seen periodic spam waves where I can almost tell when the email list that my address found its way on was sold to a new spammer.

It's happening again. Hopefully Google will soon catch on and blacklist those scoundrels :(

Just keep on marking them as SPAM & Gmail will catch up.
