Here is a strange occurrence... I installed Gmail and maps onto my Blackberry phone which I have high security settings on. 15 min later I get a pop up stating that Gmail was trying to access my phone logs. Does anyone know what Google would want with our cell phone history logs?

I wonder if it was trying to write to the log or read from the log? Maybe it tries to add details of your emails to the log?

It may also be extracting something useful such as being able to match up numbers dialled and numbers in emails (?)

I don't think it went into my emails at all, it was strictly trying to access the phone logs to access who I had been calling. Very Strange to me, I know that Google is getting into listening soon but regarding this cell phone access, I did not see anything in the terms that stated that it was going to access my private logs. It is also interesting to me also that when I call my cable company or cell company they have to ask me to access my records, why doesn't Google have to abide by these rules in their terms?

You probably forgot to put the no follow tag in your security settings :o
