Adsense and Invites

New two Gmail, can I get revenue from my newsletters?

Hello,
I am new to Gmail and have no idea what it really does. I had done some reading on this forum but never quite learned if I can generate revenue and put my adsense attached to emails or is it just google that is going to make bank off putting their ads in my emails?

Secondly,
Do you still have to get invited to get Gmail? I got an invite and joined, but I was looking around and it looks like you can just sign up, just curious.

It's basically another web-based email service (a Hotmail competitor) with a fairly innovative interface, and Google monetizes it by having its AdWords pigeons [1] read your mails and pick out appropriate ads.

[1] The pigeons are of course sworn to secrecy and will not divulge the contents of your mails to third parties, else they risk being transferred to the new GoogleCat service.

hmm interesting. I would've liked it a lot more if it put my adsense ads in it :( Bah!
