Adwords + Adsense SSL enabled, but not Gmail

I'm really not sure what they were thinking, but it's a shame Gmail does not user SSL encryption after the login, unlike Adwords and Adsense which are SSL encrypted the whole time.

And for those people who want to say email is not private, like a postcard etc etc, SSL DOES make a difference, and if it's good enough for Adwords and Adsense it should be good enough for Gmail

yes, It did
you must use ssl link first. <https://gmail.google.com> to login webpage.
then after log in, ULR will still keep in ssl encryted.

Wow, this should be better highlighted on the Gmail service. Right now, the notice is buried in their "Gmail and Privacy" notice:

[gmail.google.com...]

Maybe GoogleGuy can recommend to the Gmail folks that a "Always secure my entire visit" checkbox be added somewhere?

This same trick doesn't work for any of my other web based e-mail accounts. (I had to sign up for almost every darn free one out there to create a "learn how your spam filter works" tutorial. <yuck>)
