Gmail down for maintainence...

And I just got my invite! D'oh!

So, I get my invite (yippee!), sign up, go to log in... and Gmail goes down.

Half an hour so far - the waiting is killing me!

It is still beta I guess.

it's 11:50 a.m. my time and I signed up hours ago and am still getting a server error when I try to log into my account. just my luck.

Strange- the only problem I've ever had was when that DNS error happened. Apart from that Gmail has worked for me round the clock.

I've been having some trouble downloading attachments from GMail - anyone else having the same problem? Aside from the fact that they're going really slow (averaging 4 kb/sec) they just STOP after a while. I used Firefox and Internet Explorer to make sure it wasn't a browser issue - same problem in both.

It was a 4 meg file, got less than half a meg down before it quit. Just curious if anyone else was having the same problem before I report it.

I haven't had any probs logging into or using Gmail at all? I use it every day and no problems like that.
I also had a problem with attachments too, I tested sending a 7mb file but Gmail kept telling me it was over the limit. That was a fair while ago though so I imagine it's fixed now.

Same here, attachments with a .htm(l) extension are given the email treatment of being broken up with = when you download them, rendering some tags useless and mangling the page.

Strangely, removing the file extension it works fine and gives proper HTML. Hmmmm...

I had the same attach problem but when opening in a new window it worked
