Adding feed META tag - should this be on every page?

Should you add the feed declaration to every page on site?

The META tags declaration in the HEAD section to announce the existence of your feed. Should this be on every page in your site, or just those that are related to the feed (such as an articles section etc)?

I think that's personal preference.

I'd say go ahead and put it on all pages. What harm could it do? Giving people access to your feed on each page may get you more subscribers.

However, on the flip side, if the feed has nothing to do with some pages, visitors may subscribe thinking they are subscribing to something other than what they are getting.

Those are two things to think about.
