Searching Yahoo for sites similar to mine I see some have extra info in their listing:

Category: widgets
RSS: View as XML - Add to My Yahoo!
www.site.com - More from this site - Save - Block

How do I go about getting the View as XML option to my listing? I do have an RSS feed. Do I have to do something extra to point it out?

Hi There,

I *think* you need to include the RSS Feed on the page you you want listed.

Again, I *think* you do this by including as LINK REL tag in your (x)HTML headers ...

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS" href="http://www.yoursite.com/feed.xml" />

Hope that helps,

Checking out a recent site I've done which has a RSS 2.0 feed, I get the Yahoo "View as XML - Add to My Yahoo!" links. I know that Yahoo is not indexing the feed directly with the regular Slurp, however I have regular visits directly to the RSS feed from YahooFeedSeeker/1.0, as well as visits to the site from Yahoo-Blogs/v3.9 (the Yahoo blog indexing robot [help.yahoo.com]). I use a link element as described by lupatis in the post above as well as a direct link to the feed with a standard anchor.

You might want to check out the official Yahoo guide for RSS publishers:

And the submission guide:

I didn't submit my site's feed at all so Yahoo must have discovered it independently, possibly from a user subscribing to the feed with the My Yahoo RSS service.
