MSN not liking sites with AdSense?

I had two loans sites that were added to MSN a month ago. One I added adsense to after it was indexed, the other not. The one with no adsense was respidered yesterday and is now on page 5 for its very competitive keywords. I am assuming the one with adsense was respidered too, because its now GONE. Not only that, but I cannot get any new sites I created added to MSN AT ALL that have adsense on them.

Looks like MSN is now totally disregarding sites with ( too much? ) adsense.

Based on everything we've seen, this is a completely bogus claim.

I have to agree with woop01, all my sites have AdSense on them and some do better in MSN than in Google.

Praxus: That's certainly not by design. I suspect something else is wrong with your site to cause this.

However, we'd like to check this one out -- just in case -- because if it really is our bug, it's very serious and we'd want to fix it immediately. Would you be willing to send me a "sticky" with the actual URLs of the sites in question? If you will, I'll see if I can find the problem on Monday.

Thanks!

From what I've heard on this and other boards, it looks like I assumed wrongly since others are posting that they aren't having problems.

But I'll still send you the urls on monday, msndude.
Thank you for your response...

Msndude, I pm'd you the sites that aren't getting picked up.

Gotta be the first time I've had sites get indexed by google before MSN!

Ok - I just read someone was saying MSN hasn't been indexing new sites for the past 3-4 weeks, so perhaps the issue is much larger here than just my new sites that I can't get indexed.

>>now on page 5

Big ups and downs aren't unusual for MSN from what I've seen. I've got one site that went from #2 to #8, back up to #3 and yesterday down to page 3. It's happened before, and in a couple of weeks it was back up again.

I have a site that doesnt even have any links to it that got indexed about 3 weeks ago. Also all my keywords are ranked the same on MSN as they did months ago :)

Looks like MSN is now totally disregarding sites with ( too much? ) adsense.

Comments such as this with testing on just two sites needs to stop. This is how people get led astray ...

Instead, ask, "Can anyone veryify that MSN is disgregarding sites with AdSense or it is just my sites?"

I agree too, and wanted to change my title soon after posting - but found I can't edit my posts.

Anyways, the title has a question mark, so its obviously not a statement, of fact or otherwise.

From my experience (4 sites, 2 years w/adsense), MSN search algo treats pages/sites with or without adsense just the same.

Yes its definitely something else. I changed all the sites in question a bit after they were rejected, but left the adsense, and resubmitted them. No luck. Then I resubmitted one site under a different domain name, and boom, it was indexed in 2 days like the old msn I know and love. So who knows!

dont think so, i have adsense on both of my sites and they are spidered and ranked better in MSN. infact for a few keywords one of my site is ranked in top 3, not bad for a 5month old site :D

Has anyone seen any problems with MSN not liking Yahoo Publisher sites?

I run YPN on my main page then some google adsense on the other pages and have seen my site only come up for some sub-pages instead of the homepage.

Does your robots.txt file exclude "/I"? Is your homepage named "index.htm"?

My experience over the last couple of months is that MSN is being much more selective in indexing new sites than they used to be. I do sometimes get indexed by google faster than by MSN and that's a huge change from the way it used to be.

Crawl rate can go up and down for a variety of reasons. Try not to read too much into it.
