I more commonly post threads about things that go wrong instead of right, but I feel that the Froogle support team deserve a pat on the back here...

I have set up my first data feed with Froogle, and my initial feed had a small error (mistyped the image directory for each image).. They sent me a notification about the error, I fixed it within 10 minutes or so and re-uploaded it. Then I promptly replied to their email asking if it would be possible to get the feed re-evaluated promptly as it would be a shame to wait 3 -4 days for such a simple error..

Surprisingly to me, they reviewed the feed in probably only an hour or 2 and it was live later that day.

Well done GoogleGuy & those at the "GoogleFrooglePlex" :P.

how long did it take for them to answer after you sent the first upload? I've been waiting since the 18th. My site was down for several hours two days last week and I'm just wondering if I should email them again.

They were very quick to respond to a question I asked about categories. Even looked at my site and suggested what to use. :)

Interesting. When I e-mail them, it takes about three or four days to receive a response. Maybe they are getting better. Well, my last e-mail was a week a go, so maybe its just the push for getting the service out for January launch.

Who knows.

After first uploading the feed they didn't get back to me... so as per their instructions I emailed them after 3 days and they replied and reviewed the feed within an hour or so.

If you've been waiting since the 18th, why not send them a POLITE email stating that you have been waiting more than the 3 or 4 days as stated in their email. Not sure if christmas will slow things though!

I thought I remembered something about 3-4 days but couldn't find it in the emails from them. Probably deleted it by mistake when I was "cleaning up" one day - doh. Thanks Chico, I'll email again.

Yes, the Support Team been very helpful with my problems and questions, and their correspondence is upbeat and even witty at times. Wait time has varied - anywhere from a day to a week. Over all I've been impressed at best and satisfied at worst.

Can anyone tell me why Google is planning to *not* charge for Froogle? I know they're going to make AdWords revenue for the ads on the right, but it seems VERY strange that Google wouldn't eventually charge for Froogle inclusion.

IMO depending on the AdWords revenue just doesn't seem to make sense.

Thoughts? I know Google's public statements are that they have no plans to charge for Froogle, but I'm more interested in getting other opinions on the matter.

Did you hear them say "We're not planning on charging for Froogle"?

I sure haven't... ;-)
