Froogle using "Add to Cart" as product image

Note: I am not using the Froogle feed.

For several of my sites, froogle is failing to pick up the actual product image. Instead, it like to pick up images of buttons like "Add to Cart".

Is the only solution to use the FTP feed?

You could try to change the layout of your site, so the googlebot finds the correct image(s) instead.

Check on some pages where it did get it right to see what you could change.

Or you could build a feed, which will ensure all data is correct.

I am having the same problem. Froogle is crawling many of my add to card and seal of approval images instead of the actual products itself. Not all but many.

I have also found that several of my customers saw images on froogle and when they click on it were sent to another image of a different product all together.

This is happening because froogle crawls are too far and too few in between that they are displaying old images or discontinued items or out of stocks and when someone click on your link it can not locate the item because is no longer there.

It a good system but still has its kinks to work out.

Are you using alt tags on the images to ID them as products and/or other items? If not, that might help and is a good idea for users, anyway.
